ABOUT US
Next Nexus was established by Alicia Yee and Aliana Yee following an incident that sparked a profound realization. After an accidental spill of glow stick liquid on her leg, Aliana feared she might need an amputation, leading to significant anxiety about the challenges of obtaining prosthetics. Although her situation was not as severe as initially thought, the experience made her acutely aware of the difficulties faced by those who are not as fortunate. During a summer internship at a 3D imaging company with Alicia, Aliana envisioned leveraging their skills to assist individuals in need of orthotics and prosthetics. This vision ultimately led to the founding of Next Nexus.
MISSION & HISTORY.
Next Nexus currently focuses on providing underprivileged and underserved communities with software and hardware tools for 3D printed orthotics and prosthetics. We work with companies and non-profits to distribute resources and benefit patients around the world, including in the United States, Puerto Rico, Africa, Indonesia, Pakistan, and China.
We are a youth-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Northern Virginia in the United States.
